These games broke me, plain and simple. That stretch of three to four years made me the cynical gamer I am today. Never trust allies met in derelict hallways, shoot where the sound comes from, and always check corners. Why shouldn’t you go and enjoy yourself in this new world of high velocity and “in your face” games, especially if games once played are only three dollars?
Originally announced at E3 back in 2010, the newest Animal Crossing title, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, will be coming to the 3DS on June 9th for US players. The game has been out since November 8, 2012 in Japan, so much is already known about gameplay. For example, players have even more opportunity to customize their towns as mayor. The freedom this gives the newest generation of enthusiasts seems to be boundless. Much of the appeal of these games is the idyllic setting and lifestyle. Hard work gets you where you want to be. You trade your spoils of bugs, fish, fossils, furniture and more for the in-game currency, Bells.
